たてもの探訪 「築地本願寺」

東京築地にある築地本願寺。関東大震災で消失した本堂は、１９３４年にインド様式で再建されました。設計者は伊東忠太。建物の内外には動物の意匠が隠されています。

Tsukiji Hongwanji, located near the fish market in Tokyo, was reconstructed after the earthquake in 1934. The temple was designed by Chuta Ito in Indian style. The architect decorated the temple using some mysterious animal figures.
